Eczema

Clear image of eczema problem having red spots on her arm

Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, encompasses a broad range of skin rashes. The causes may stem from heredity but may also be caused by allergies or sensitivities to certain allergens, environmental factors, or secondary causes. A board-certified dermatologist will evaluate the condition and offer strategies to best manage it. For adults 18 years of age and older with atopic (hereditary) eczema, the drug Dupilumab or Dupixent, called Dupilumab (Dupixent), may be very beneficial. The drug Eucrisa-is a steroid free alternative that can be used with very good results for many suffering from eczema. Two new drugs for atopic dermatitis include Cibinqo and Opzelura. In addition, many new drugs are on the horizon to help patients with this most debilitating condition.
